Happy Valley Humdinger
The Happy Valley Humdinger is an annual running event held in Lenoir, North Carolina, featuring a scenic 5K point-to-point course through Happy Valley. The route follows a mostly hardtop, low-traffic secondary road and includes a stretch along the Yadkin River, finishing at the Happy Valley Filling Station. Known as a rural, flatter, and faster alternative to the Southern Sundown 4 Miler, it offers a welcoming atmosphere celebrating the running community.
Participants aged 21 and over receive a craft beer post-race. The event also includes a Kids Fun Run with ½ mile and 1-mile options, held on a greenway near the finish. An after-race party with music, wood-fired pizza, and beverages completes the festive experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
