Harrison Park Turkey Trot

The Harrison Park Turkey Trot is an annual family-friendly running event held in Springfield, Illinois, at Tyler Ct. & Old Tippecanoe. Celebrating its fourth year in 2025, the event features a chip-timed 5K race, a 1-mile fun run/walk, and a free kids' fun run.

The course consists of a single loop around the neighborhood, providing a welcoming atmosphere for residents, families, and friends. Participants receive finisher medals for the 5K and 1-mile events, post-race food and drinks, and can purchase commemorative t-shirts. Awards are given to top male and female finishers and age group winners in the 5K.
