Event overview

The Haulin' Aspen is a mountain trail running event held in Bend, Oregon, on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The race takes place at Wanoga Sno-Park and uses trails in the Deschutes National Forest. Distances offered:

Course, aid stations and logistics

The course terrain includes rolling trails with elevation changes, rocky and dusty sections in places, and both climbs and descents. Marathoners face a recorded 700-foot vertical gain between approximately mile 21.5 and mile 24. Aid station support:

  • Full marathon: six aid stations on the route, encountered for a total of eight aid opportunities (approximate miles listed by organizers).
  • Half marathon: three aid stations, with one passed twice for four aid opportunities.
  • Half As (6.5 miles): two aid stations.

Packet pick-up is available at Footzone in Downtown Bend and also on site the morning of the race. Gear drop tags and on-site bag drop are provided. A post-race celebration at Wanoga Sno-Park includes music, food, a beer offering, and local vendors.
