Website

Heart of America Marathon & Fun Team Relay, staged by the Columbia Track Club in Columbia, Missouri, is one of the oldest running events. Held on Labor Day at the Boone County History and Culture Center, it offers a USATF-certified 26.2-mile marathon and a 2–4 person Fun Team Relay. The course winds through rural Missouri, along the Katy Trail, and up the famous Easley Hill, with about 5.5 miles on gravel or trail.

The event is known for its historic, no-frills atmosphere, 13 aid stations, a firm 6-hour cutoff, and special awards, plus Fisher House as charity partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
