Heat Wave 24
Heat Wave 24 is an ultrarunning event hosted by the Kansas Ultrarunners' Society, held at the Rose Hill District Stadium in Rose Hill, Kansas. Scheduled for June 12-13, 2025, it features 6, 12, and 24-hour running options, including night sessions for 6 and 12 hours. The race takes place on a 400-meter track, with laps meticulously counted via live chip timing and displayed on a TV screen.
The course direction changes every three hours to enhance the experience. Participants have access to an aid station with water, ice, and snacks, but must bring their own drinking vessels as the race is cup-less. Awards include medals, trophies, and custom belt buckles for milestone distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
