Event overview

The Honey Badger 100 is a 100 Mile road ultramarathon held in Wichita, KS, with the start and finish at the West Shore area of Cheney State Park. The course includes just over 7 miles inside Cheney State Park (about 6.5 miles at the beginning and just under 1 mile at the end) and approximately 92.9 miles on roads in Kingman County. The race has a 36-hour time limit and a hard cutoff at approximately 53.35 miles with an 18 hour limit at that point.

Logistics and support

All competitors must provide at least one crew member and one crew vehicle, plus all food and a minimum of 12 gallons of water and 30 lb of ice. Only one crew vehicle per runner is allowed on course at a time. Runners receive a gift card for a fuel/stop location near the 45 mile point intended for the purchase of ice. Packet pickup and the pre-race briefing take place at the staging area on race morning. Check-in and staging are at the West Shore area of Cheney State Park. Campsites, some full-hookup sites, and cabins are available near the start/finish; closest hotels are in Goddard and Kingman (about 20 miles) or Wichita (about 30 miles). No refunds are offered; deferrals to the following year are allowed up to 30 days before the event. To be guaranteed a shirt, registration must be completed by June 18. Registration closes July 9.
