Honey Badger 100 (July 11, 2026) : Wichita, KS

The event is a 100 Mile ultramarathon held in Wichita, Kansas on July 11, 2026. The race uses Cheney State Park West Shore for the start and finish and includes a 36-hour overall time limit. Competitors must meet an 18-hour cutoff at approximately 53.35 miles; these are hard deadlines. Registration closes July 9. There are no refunds; deferrals to the following year are allowed up to 30 days before the event. Runners who register by June 18 are guaranteed a shirt.

Course, crew and facilities

The course includes a little over 7 miles inside Cheney State Park (about 6.5 miles at the beginning and a little less than 1 mile at the end) and about 92.9 miles on roads in Kingman County. Check-in and the staging area are at the West Shore Area of Cheney State Park. Packet pickup is scheduled on race morning and is followed by a short pre-race briefing.

All runners must provide their own crew (minimum one person) and vehicle, plus all food and at least 12 gallons of water and 30 pounds of ice. Only one crew vehicle is allowed at a time. If more than one crew member assists, an extra 5-gallon water cooler and a large ice chest are encouraged. Runners receive a gift card for a Loves store around mile 45 intended for ice purchase. Campsites and cabins are available at Cheney State Park; nearest hotels are in Goddard or Kingman (about 20 miles) and Wichita (about 30 miles).
