About the race
Join Homeboy Industries for the 16th Annual Homeboy 5K Run/Walk in downtown Los Angeles. With more than 5,000 runners, walkers, volunteers, families, and the broader community, the event begins outside Homeboy’s Chinatown headquarters and winds through historic Downtown LA, culminating in a street festival featuring artists, partners and vendors. The morning brings energetic vibes and joy.
The 5K course accommodates a 5K Run/Walk, a Kids Run for ages 2–12, and a 5K Virtual Run, plus the Puppy Fades Doggy Dash, a half-mile canine race. Proceeds support Homeboy’s mission to train and assist formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals. Packet pick-up, expo, and race-day festivities round out the day.
