About the race
The Overdose Awareness 5K Run/Walk is held in Playa Del Rey, California at Dockweiler Beach. Phoenix House California hosts the beach-side event, a 5K course designed to raise overdose-awareness and support substance-use and mental-health resources. Participants receive a race t-shirt, a water bottle, and a post-race lunch.
The day features information booths, games, post-run activities, and Naloxone education provided by staff. Complimentary parking is offered in Dockweiler State Beach Lot #3. A featured speaker and an awards ceremony cap the day, creating a family-friendly atmosphere along the coast.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach. The event supports Phoenix House California’s mission to combat overdose and provide life-saving resources. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
