Honor the Brave takes place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, California. The event is located at the Long Beach path near 5400 E. Ocean Blvd, off 54th Place and Ocean Blvd. Distances offered include:
- 5k - out-and-back route on the beach path
- 10k - two 5k loops
- 15k - three 5k loops
- Half marathon - three 4.36 mile loops
Course and services
The course is an open, marked route on the beach path with out-and-back loops. Participants are asked to be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. An aid station at the turnaround/start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. There is a 3:15 time limit for the half marathon; requests for more time require prior arrangement with the organizer.
Registration is available via PayPal or Active.com; PayPal registrations receive a follow-up email to finalize registration. Transfers are allowed by request and there is a no-refund policy. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free photos, results posted on the website within 12-24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Parking is free in nearby residential areas; paid beach lot parking is available by machine. Check-in is at the tables closest to 54th Place at the start of the beach path.
