Course format: the 12K is run as two loops and the 6K as one loop. All participants receive chip timing, a finisher medal for Houston's 12K of Christmas, and a unisex t-shirt. Packet pick-up is available at Sun & Ski Sports (6100 Westheimer Rd #126); race day packet pick-up is listed with an additional fee of $15. Post-race features include hot cocoa, cookies, live music, appearances by Santa and his elves, Christmas carolers, and Karbach beer. Awards include top 3 overall male/female, top 3 masters male/female, and first-place age group winners in 10-year divisions. Age group awards must be claimed at the awards tent on race day; unclaimed awards can be shipped at the participant's expense ($9.95). Parking is available downtown; some lots require payment.
