Howard's Half Marathon

Howard's Half Marathon/5K Run Festival in Cumberland, Maryland, is a two-race charity event held on the first Sunday in September. The course is an out-and-back design starting and finishing at Canal Place; the half marathon covers a loop from Canal Place to the turnaround and back, while the 5K follows a similar out-and-back route, beginning shortly after the half marathon. The event supports the Allegany County Animal Shelter, Maryland’s first municipal no-kill shelter, and has raised more than $40,000 since its inception in 2015.
