HTC Winter Series Barkhamsted : January 11, 2026
The event is a hand-timed club run held at Matthies Grove, People's State Forest, 106 East River Road, Barkhamsted, CT 06063. Registration is free, limited to 150 participants, and opens November 10, 2025. Timed results will be published on RunSignup. Organizers request donations to help cover event costs.
Course and format
The course is entirely on roads and follows rolling hills along the Farmington River. The route goes outbound on East River Road, turns left onto Route 20 through Riverton center, and returns inbound on West River Road, with the start and finish at Matthies Grove parking.
Distances:
- 8.5 miles
- 17 miles (corrected distance)
Participants who finish after the first lap (8.5 miles) should proceed to the finish table and give their name to the timer. Those continuing for the second lap should return to Matthies Grove to begin the lap and provide their name to the timer at the finish of the second lap.
