Course details and logistics
Swim: Rectangular swim course in Lake Nockamixon with yellow triangle buoys at corners and round orange buoys every 75-100 m for sighting. Expect wetsuit-legal water temperatures in the low to mid 70s; an official water temperature reading will be posted by USAT officials.
Bike: Closed, well-paved bike course with wide shoulders, rolling terrain and no turns outside the park except turnaround points. Olympic athletes complete two loops; Sprint athletes complete one loop. The course includes measured climbing (about 1,200 ft total for the Olympic bike).
Run and support: Run courses follow the shoulder of Route 563 with rollers, sun and shade, and intermittent lake views; Olympic is two loops (10K) and Sprint is one loop (5K). Aid stations are located about every mile serving Gatorade and ice water. Packet pickup is available at the park (photo ID required). Bicycles will not be released from transition until the bike cut-off or until the course is clear. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
