Indio Veterans 5K Run/Walk : overview
The Indio Veterans 5K Run/Walk takes place on November 11, 2025, in Indio, CA at 81800 51st Avenue. The event is organized to honor and support veterans. The main event is a 5K run/walk. Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hunter Lopez Memorial Foundation. Entry pricing shown is $43.40 (includes $3.40 fee); children under 10 are free and veterans receive a $25 discount.
Course and event details
The course runs through an area of the Empire Polo and includes a mix of paved streets, dirt paths, and grassy areas. Race day includes check-in, an opening ceremony, and the 5K start. Parking is free and staff will direct traffic to designated parking areas. The event will feature a pre-race celebration with refreshments, music, and a ceremony to honor veterans. The race is timed using bibs equipped with chips; bibs are provided at check-in and results will be posted on the event website. Participants of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not allowed. Strollers are permitted, with a recommendation to start toward the back for safety.
