Indoor Insanity 5K is an indoor running event scheduled for Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Colby College, Harold Alfond Athletics & Recreation Center in Waterville, Maine. The event is organized as a fundraiser to support radon mitigation in low-income Maine households.

Race format and timing
The event is organized in multiple heats to manage participant flow. Heats are grouped by expected 5K finish times: the fastest heat is for roughly 15-20 minute 5K runners, the intermediate heat for roughly 21-28 minute 5K runners, and a third heat open to any level. The fastest heat is limited to 30 runners and the intermediate heat to 75 runners. Walkers have a dedicated lane. A half mile kids fun run is included.
Chip timing will be used to record individual lap and finish times. Participants receive split times for each lap completed. Hand tally counters will be available to help runners track lap numbers; participants are advised not to rely solely on the timing company for live lap counts.
Fees, apparel, and policies
Registration fee is $30 per person. Race T-shirts are available for purchase for $17.50; kids fun run shirts are free. If the event is cancelled for unsafe travel conditions, no refunds will be provided and collected fees will be used for radon mitigation in low-income households.
