About the race
IPA 5K at Bowman Field in Louisville, Kentucky, is a runway-centered running event staged at Bowman Field Terminal Building (2815 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). It offers two distances: a 5K Run/Walk and a 15 & Under 5K Run/Walk. Known as Louisville’s Favorite 5K on the Runway, the course returns to the original layout and features a unique first mile lined with static aircraft displays before looping around the field.
Entrants also receive free entry to Bowman Fest, plus a themed medal. A portion of proceeds ($5 per entry) benefits Kosair Charities Pediatric NeuroRecovery Fund, and t-shirts are not guaranteed if cutoff dates are missed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
