About the race
IronHorse in Riceville, Iowa, is a USATF-certified and sanctioned running event offering a Full Marathon (with a half distance in Minnesota), Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. The race uses the Wapsi-Great Western Line Trail in Iowa and the Shooting Star Trail in Minnesota, with full and half run as point-to-point races on a rail-to-trail surface, and the 5K/10K as an out-and-back along a paved trail at railroad grade. The finish is at the WGWL Trailhead Welcome Center in Riceville.
