James River Trail Runs

The James River Trail Runs, held at James River State Park in Gladstone, Virginia, offer a variety of trail running distances including a 10 miler, 50K, 50 mile relay, and 50 mile solo race. The course consists of a challenging 10-mile loop featuring 1,025 feet of climbing, with the first half involving significant elevation changes on single and double track trails, and a flatter, faster section alongside the Historic James River. A new 10-mile night race is also available.

The event encourages all levels of runners with a "no DNF" policy, allowing participants to earn official times based on loops completed within a generous 16-hour cutoff.
