Event overview
Run Jekyll is a multi-event race weekend on Jekyll Island, Georgia. The weekend takes place January 17-18, 2026, with packet pick-up also available the day before. Courses pass historic and natural sites on the island, including live oak canopies, salt marshes, beaches, and the Jekyll Island Club National Historic Landmark. The event offers the following race options:
- 42k (Marathon)
- 21k (Half marathon)
- 10k
- 5k Double options combining a Saturday and Sunday race are available.
Logistics and race rules
The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified and are Boston-qualifying. The 10k and 5k will be certified by race day. Aid stations will provide water, sports drink (Gatorade), and HUMA gels. Race services listed for registered participants include a race number with timing chip, a long-sleeved T-shirt, finishers medal for all finishers, a well-marked course, post-race food, and a finish-line festival. Bag drop is available at the finish; the organizers are not responsible for lost items. Strollers are permitted only in the 5k and 10k and must start at the back. Pets are not allowed. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable; registration closes when caps are reached or on January 15, 2026. No virtual option is offered and race shirts or awards will not be mailed.
