Jersey Shore Half Marathon

The Jersey Shore Half Marathon, hosted by the Shore Athletic Club, is one of New Jersey's oldest distance running events, first held in 1972. Scheduled for October 5, 2025, it takes place at the scenic Gateway National Recreation Area's Sandy Hook Park in Highlands, NJ. The USATF-certified course is a flat, fast, two-loop 13.1-mile route ideal for both first-time half-marathoners and those preparing for fall marathons.

Participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. The event also features a 2-mile run, cash prizes for top finishers, pacers for various finish times, and a post-race party at a local restaurant.
