The Joltin' Joe 5K takes place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Wheeler District at 1701 S. Western, Oklahoma City, OK 73109. The event is organized by the Joe Warfield Memorial Foundation to raise awareness about distracted driving and to support education and safety initiatives. The National Safety Council figures cited by the organizer note more than 700 people are injured daily in distracted driving crashes and about 42,000 people are killed annually on U.S. streets.

Course, logistics and awards
The 5K is a USATF certified, chip-timed out-and-back on the OKC river trails. The route is described as flat; participants run 1.55 miles out from the Wheeler Ferris Wheel, then return to the finish. The 1 Mile Fun Run is an untimed half-mile out-and-back that follows a different direction. The course will be marked with cones and turn-around signs and supported by volunteers. USATF provides event sanctioning and general liability coverage.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Saturday, November 15 (10:00 to 18:00) at Red Coyote Classen Curve and on race day at the Wheeler Ferris Wheel (noon to 14:00). Entry fees listed: $35 for in-person 5K, $25 for the 1 mile, $35 for the virtual 5K, and $15 for the pushchair category; fees increase after October 31, 2025. All participants receive a race bib and a custom finisher medal with a spinning Ferris Wheel; in-person participants also receive a free Ferris Wheel ticket.
