The Juneau Marathon and Half Marathon, held on Douglas Island near Juneau, Alaska, is a USATF-certified out-and-back race along the scenic, lightly traveled two-lane Douglas Highway at sea level. The course offers stunning views of saltwater, conifer forests, alpine mountains, glaciers, and the ocean. Starting near Sandy Beach picnic shelter, about four miles from downtown Juneau, the marathon covers 26.2 miles while the half marathon covers 13.1 miles.

Aid stations provide water, Gatorade, and Gu, and finishers receive medals and technical shirts. The event is a premier Alaska race and serves as the state championship for both distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
