Kendall Mountain Run : July 19, 2026
The Kendall Mountain Run takes place in Silverton, Colorado, with a start in downtown Silverton (13th Street and Greene) and a finish at Silverton Memorial Park. The event is held annually and traces its local history to early 20th-century mountain ascents; the organized annual race began in 1978. Online registration closes on July 12. Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- 12 Mile : out-and-back with summit scramble, total elevation gain about 3,960 ft.
- 11 KM : out-and-back to Deer Park, total elevation gain about 1,616 ft.
Course, aid stations and rules
The 12-mile course climbs from about 9,318 ft to a maximum near 13,060 ft and includes a final scramble of roughly 250 vertical feet to the summit before descending the backside and rejoining the jeep road toward Memorial Park. The 11 km course climbs from the same start to a turnaround at Deer Park and returns to the finish (Deer Park at ~3.3 km; finish at ~6.6 km). Aid station notes for the 12-mile include Deer Park at 3.3 miles, a small aid/water location at the Notch, and no aid at the summit. The event is cupless; runners must carry their own container for refills. There is no crew access outside the start and finish area, and pacers are not allowed.
