Event overview
The Kendall Mountain Run is held in Silverton, Colorado on Sunday, July 19, 2026. The event offers two primary distances:
- 12 Mile
- 11 KM
Both races start in downtown Silverton and finish at Silverton Memorial Park. The 12-mile course ascends jeep roads to a summit scramble on Kendall Mountain and then descends back to Memorial Park. The 11K follows a jeep road climb to a turnaround at Deer Park and returns to the park.
Course and race details
The 12-mile route climbs from about 9,318 feet to approximately 13,066 feet, with a listed total elevation gain near 3,960 feet and a final scramble of roughly 300 vertical feet to the summit. The 11K has a listed elevation gain of about 1,616 feet and a maximum elevation near 10,840 feet. Aid stations are placed along each course; the event is cupless, so runners must carry their own container for refills. There is no crew access outside the start and finish areas and pacers are not allowed. Drop bags are available at a designated start/finish area. The race includes timed results, aid station support, finisher recognition, and an option to combine the Kendall Mountain Run with other Silverton Alpine races as a Mountain Duo challenge.
