Kendall Mountain Run
The Kendall Mountain Run is a challenging mountain race held annually in Silverton, Colorado. It features two main distances: a 12-mile course and an 11-kilometer course. Starting at 9,318 feet in downtown Silverton, runners ascend jeep roads to a thrilling final scramble to the summit of Kendall Mountain at 13,066 feet, offering stunning views of the town and the San Juan Mountains.
The 12-mile race includes a descent over the mountain's backside, while the 11K is an out-and-back to Deer Park. The event honors a historic 1908 mountain climbing wager and emphasizes environmental stewardship as a cupless race.
