The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Space Race is a 3K walk/run held at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, FL on January 16, 2026. The course passes through the Rocket Garden with nine authentic rockets, by the booster stack at the entry to Space Shuttle Atlantis, and past Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. The event benefits the United Way of Brevard. Winners in each category will receive awards from a veteran NASA astronaut. The event is open to guests of runners; guest entry has a suggested donation of $5.
Practical information
Entry fees for the 3K differ by registration period: early registration adult $35 and child (12 & under) $20; standard registration adult $40 and child $25; race day entry (if available) adult $45 and child $30. A complimentary race shirt is guaranteed for participants who register by December 16, 2025. A race medal is provided to the first 1,500 registrants. Packet pick up is offered at designated locations in the days before the event. Complimentary parking is available in parking lots 4 and 5. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Brevard and support local programs addressing hunger, housing, domestic violence and health. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
