KEYS100 Ultramarathon : Florida Keys, May 16-17, 2026
KEYS100 is a point-to-point ultramarathon across the Florida Keys, finishing at Higgs Beach in Key West. The race course runs from Key Largo to Key West and is mostly on pavement: approximately 75% on paved bike paths or sidewalks and the remainder on the road shoulder facing traffic. Event types offered include:
- 100-mile point-to-point race (individual and team relay)
- 50-mile option from Marathon to Key West (individual and team relay)
- 50-kilometer individual race from Big Pine Key to Key West
Race format and key rules
Individual runners must be accompanied by a registered support crew; there are no official aid stations or water stops and participants are expected to be self-sufficient with crew support at approved meet-up locations only. Teams may use one vehicle; each individual runner or team must use a single support vehicle that meets race requirements. Race marshals, medical staff and sheriff deputies are positioned along the course; timing equipment and interim timing stations are used. Time limits are set by distance: 100-mile competitors have 32 hours, 50-mile competitors have 20 hours, and 50-kilometer competitors have 12 hours. Safety gear rules include mandatory reflective identification vests at check-in and required blinking lights and reflective garments during defined nighttime hours.
