Event overview
The Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce presents the 9th Annual Elf Yourself 5K on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lake Forest Sports Park, 28000 Rancho Parkway, Lake Forest, CA 92630. The event is a timed 5K run/walk contained entirely inside the sports park. The theme is "Elf Yourself"; strollers and pets are allowed. The event uses four timed waves that separate faster runners, runners/joggers, and walkers/strollers/pet participants. Awards are given for 1st–3rd place in age groups by male and female, plus top overall male and female awards. Every finisher receives a medal.
Course, packet pick-up and on-site amenities
The course is a flat, two-and-a-half loop route on park streets, marked with colored arrows (one color per lap). Pacers will lead each wave and a lead cyclist will accompany the fastest runners. Packet pick-up is the day before the race at Spectrum Specialties & Awards / the Lake Forest Chamber office at 26239 Enterprise Court, Lake Forest; a signed waiver and an ID are required for pick-up, and pick-up for another participant is allowed with a picture of their ID and their signed waiver. The event includes a post-race expo with food samples, vendors and fitness displays; a Kid's Zone with photos with Santa, games and bounce houses; a hot chocolate station; and a pet parade and pet costume contest with awards.
