Lake Norman State Park Trail Race
The Lake Norman State Park Trail Race, held in Troutman, NC, offers two challenging trail running options: a 30K and a 50K. Both races feature smooth, rolling single-track trails with no repeated loops, providing a fresh experience throughout. The 30K course includes about 1,500 feet of elevation gain, while the 50K covers approximately 1,900 feet.
Aid stations are well-stocked with drinks and snacks, with the 30K passing two stations and the 50K passing four. Participants enjoy a scenic course through multiple loops, running clockwise opposite to bike traffic. Finishers receive medals, and top runners earn awards.
The event fosters a supportive atmosphere for both newcomers and seasoned trail runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
