About the race
Lake Scary 5K is a Halloween-themed running event in Lake Mary, Florida, at 650 Rantoul Lane on Saturday, October 25, 2025. It offers a 5K and a Run from Home option, letting participants run, walk, or roll for a good cause. All proceeds go to UCP of Central Florida’s Lake Mary Campus to fund therapy services and programs for children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
Runners are encouraged to wear costumes and will receive a t-shirt and a spooky finisher medal, with prizes for best dressed. Founded by Lake Mary Prep students, the race has raised over $80,000 since 2012. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
