About the race
Lake to Ocean 100K is a 100-kilometer point-to-point trail race from the NENA trailhead in Port Mayaka, Florida, to Hobe Sound beach. The course is mostly single-track and remote, weaving through changing ecosystems—from ancient sand dunes with scrub oak and sand pine to pine flatwoods, palmetto, oak hammocks, cypress domes, and wet prairies. Wildlife includes deer, alligators, otters, owls, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, and wading birds.
The race has an 18-hour time limit and requires a crew, with crew stops at miles 15, 22, 31, 37, and 48. Finishers earn a buoy; Outside Online named it among the top 10 beautiful trails in 2023. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
