Lastest Not Fastest
The Lastest Not Fastest is a unique last-person-standing trail race held on Hamilton Island in Washington's Columbia River Gorge, near North Bonneville. Participants run a 4.13-mile loop with minimal elevation gain (103 feet) along scenic trails beside the Columbia River, including forested areas and open fields. Runners start every hour on the hour and must complete each loop within 60 minutes to continue; the race proceeds until only one runner remains.
The course offers stunning views, historical markers, and a single aid station at the start/finish area stocked with various nutrition options. The event welcomes solo runners and crews, with ample space for support and spectators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
