Lead King Loop 25k
Located in Marble, Colorado, the Lead King Loop 25K offers a scenic mountain course through the Elk Mountains, Lead King Basin, and the historic Crystal Mill. The 25K dirt-road route climbs about 2,900 vertical feet over roughly four miles into Lead King Basin, stays around 10,000 feet, then descends back toward the finish at Thompson Park. An 8-mile Quarry Climb option runs along the Yule Marble Quarry Road, framed by Maroon Bells–Snowmass and Ragged Wilderness.
Afterward, participants enjoy Slow Groovin' BBQ and a cold beer; kids can run 2.5K. Proceeds benefit Marble Charter School; event run by volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
