The LEGENDS NEVER DIE 5K is a chip-timed beach run/walk held in Madeira Beach, FL (15100 Gulf Boulevard, 33708) on April 12, 2026. The course runs along the shoreline and includes sections in the sand. The event offers an adult race entry and a free kids registration for participants under 12. Adult registration prices: Early (June 7, 2025 - January 20, 2026) $40 with a race t-shirt included, Regular (January 21 - March 31) $40, and Late (April 1 - 12) $45. Entry fees are non-refundable. Adult registration includes a raffle ticket for prize opportunities. Race awards are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female finishers.
Purpose and logistics
The race is hosted by the Madeira Beach Fire Department and focuses on raising awareness of mental health, PTSD, and suicide among first responders, veterans, active-duty military, and their families. Proceeds benefit The Franciscan Center's First Responders Post Trauma Training Program. Parking options include paid parking at Archibald Beach and free parking at Madeira Beach City Centre Complex (300 Municipal Drive) or along Rex Place by the Sports Complex.
