Leonide J. Lemire Road Race 4.9 Mile Run
The Annual Leonide J. Lemire Road Race is a historic 4.9-mile run held in Southbridge, Massachusetts, starting and finishing at the Tri-Community Family Branch YMCA. Known as the longest-running 4.9-mile road race in the U.S., it takes runners on a scenic course through Southbridge, passing monuments honoring local veterans.
Established to honor Leonard J. Lemire, the first Southbridge casualty of WWII, the event supports military and veteran memberships at the YMCA. The race features multiple categories including individual, seniors, military, wheelchair solo and duo teams, and a virtual run.
