Event overview
The Little Big Town 5K and Family Fun Run takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Van Alstyne High School, 700 Collin McKinney Parkway, Van Alstyne, TX 75495. The 18th Annual event is hosted by the Van Alstyne Education Foundation and raises funds for teachers and students of Van Alstyne ISD. The race uses a new, flat course. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1 mile Fun Run
- Race from Bed Donation to VAEF
Entry fees are listed for each event and increase after February 27, 2026. Registration for the Race from Bed Donation to VAEF closes on May 2, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable; if the event is canceled, fees will be considered donations to VAEF.
Logistics and awards
Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 1, at the Van Alstyne Administration Building, 1096 N Waco, with additional pickup available the morning of the event by the starting line. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by April 24, 2026; sizes cannot be guaranteed after that date and race day entries do not include a shirt. T-shirts and medals will not be mailed to no-shows. The race is timed by chip, and wearing the bib/timing tag is required to be eligible for awards. Awards include top overall male and female 5K runners; all participants receive a medal and division winners will be posted at the race and online.
