Event overview
The Majek Wine Run Turkey Trot 5k is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Majek Vineyard & Winery, 12508 FM957, Schulenburg, TX 78956. The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk scored by J3 Timing. The course both starts and finishes at the winery; an official course map will be posted by the organizers. The field is open to ages 1 through 99.
Registration, race services and awards
Registration includes a T‑shirt (ring spun cotton), a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine glass–shaped finisher medal, a chip race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes shirt, medal and bib but do not receive the wine glass or a wine pour. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. A virtual participation option is available; packet shipping has a $10 handling charge if selected.
Age group awards are offered in ten-year categories; the top three finishers in each age category (male and female) receive a custom award. Age group awards must be picked up on race day and will not be shipped. The event’s local charity partner is the American Cancer Society. The winery will host live music featuring The Parlor Hounds. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate free. Dogs are not permitted on site due to USDA restrictions.
