Course and logistics

The course includes approximately 15,000 feet of climbing and much rocky, steep, and precipitous terrain. There are some runnable sections, but participants will often hike uphill or downhill and may encounter hand-over-hand scrambling. Aid stations are limited; runners should expect to spend up to three or four hours between them and be reasonably self-sufficient. The route becomes progressively more difficult and may require travel in darkness for many runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
