Marine Corps Historic Half
Marine Corps Historic Half is a 13.1-mile half marathon held in Fredericksburg, Virginia, situated halfway between Richmond and the nation’s capital. Runners traverse historic, vibrant streets—from Central Park through downtown shops and restaurants to Hospital Hill—finishing under a finish line bathed in stars and stripes with support from the U.S. Marines.
The event atmosphere combines a storied, spring weekend vibe with a start ceremony that concludes with a vintage musket blast. A new Esprit de Corps Challenge adds a two-day endurance test: a 5K on Saturday and the half on Sunday, with finishers earning both event medals and a special challenge medal. Pace limit: 17:30 per mile; age 14+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
