Mathews Marathon & Half Marathon

The Mathews Marathon & Half Marathon takes place in Mathews County, Virginia, featuring the world's flattest race course. Runners enjoy a fast, scenic route along peaceful rural backroads, including dirt, gravel, and paved surfaces, passing through serene countryside and local beaches. The event offers full and half marathon distances, as well as a relay option for teams.

The start and finish are located in Mathews town center at Put In Creek Pavilion. Participants receive a custom plaid shirt and finisher medal, with top finishers recognized by age groups. The race promotes a friendly atmosphere with volunteer support every few miles and includes a pre-race carbo load dinner.
