About the race
Maui 5K is an annual running event held at the Maui Ocean Center in Wailuku, Hawaii. The 15th edition is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026. The event offers a 5K Run, a 1 Mile Run/Walk, and a Virtual 5K/1Mile option.
For the 2025 change, participants can choose to run the 5K timed or untimed; untimed participants are not eligible for age-group awards, and race day entries for the 5K are untimed only. The Run for Fitness mission supports Hawaii’s schools: 100% of proceeds go back to the designated Maui Nui schools. A 5K course is featured along with a 1 Mile Walk.
