McHenry Lakefront 5K

The McHenry Lakefront 5K & Kids Fun Run is an annual running event held in McHenry, Illinois, at Petersen Park. The 5K race features a USATF certified, chip-timed course that starts at Petersen Park Beach and winds through the scenic Prairie Trail and Lakeland Park neighborhood, offering a flat, shaded route suitable for all ages. The event also includes Kids Fun Runs with 50m and 100m races for children aged 3 to 8.
