About the race
Miles for Migraine Washington D.C. takes place at Laurel Hills Park in Lorton, Virginia. The event offers a 2-mile Walk and a 5K Run, with the 5K professionally timed.
It’s presented as more than a race—a festival-style day to connect with the local migraine and headache community, featuring speakers and sponsor booths in the festival area. Participants are encouraged to wear purple for a prize. All finishers earn a medal.
Proceeds support the MedStar Georgetown Headache Clinic for migraine research, fellowship training, and Miles for Migraine programs. This is the 9th annual event supporting migraine awareness and research in the DMV. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
