The Miles for Migraine - West Virginia event takes place on October 11, 2025 in Morgantown, WV at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. The event includes these distances:
- 2 Mile Walk
- 5K Run
The 5K run is chip timed. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal. There is also a virtual participation option that can include a participant shirt, event bib, and finisher medal mailed to participants for an additional charge. A non-running "Relax" option is offered onsite with activities such as meditation, yoga, coloring, and sponsor exhibits; this option does not permit use of the course.
Additional information
The event is an annual fundraiser for migraine and headache awareness, treatment, and research. Funds raised will support Miles for Migraine programs and the West Virginia University Headache Center, including local migraine research and fellowship training programs. The event features speakers and a festival area with sponsors. Participants are invited to wear purple flair for a chance at a prize.
Packet pick-up is available before the event at Morgantown Running and on the day of the event at the race site. Awards include fundraising recognition (top individual, top team, largest team, spirit award and others) and overall race awards for first place female, male, and non-binary finishers.
