About the race
Miles for Music is the 7th Annual East Carteret High School Band Miles for Music, held in Beaufort, North Carolina, along the historic Front Street. The event offers a 5K run and a 1 mile fun run/walk on an out-and-back course with waterfront views in downtown Beaufort. The flat, wheelchair-accessible route is stroller- and leashed-dog friendly, making it welcoming for first-time runners.
Proceeds benefit the East Carteret High School Marching Mariners, funding instruments, equipment, and student support. Participants registered by May 1, 2026 are guaranteed a race t-shirt and swag bag; the race is timed by Run the East. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
