2025 Miriam’s Kitchen 5k & 10k : Event
The event takes place on November 15 at Fletcher’s Boathouse in Georgetown, Washington, DC (4940 Canal Rd NW). It is organized to support Miriam’s Kitchen and its mission of ending chronic and veteran homelessness. Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available.

The 5k and 10k are out-and-back routes on the C&O Canal path. The path is a light gravel, flat trail with no major elevation gains; the 10k is one out-and-back of the course. The event is chip timed; finishers receive a medal and a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt. Water stations are supplied: three along the 10k (approximate mile markers 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65) and one on the 5k (approximate mile marker 1.55); Gatorade will be available at some stations. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group prizes. Packet pickup is offered the Friday before the event at Road Runner Sports (1101 S. Joyce St., Suite B-23, Arlington, VA) and at the event. There will be no on-site race registration.
