MLK5K/10K — event overview
The MLK5K/10K and Divine Nine 5K Challenge takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Dan Calloway Recreation Complex in Riviera Beach, FL 33404. It is the fifth annual edition and the organizer anticipates approximately 400 participants. The event includes in-person and virtual options and features races for adults and children. A portion of net proceeds will offset registration costs for participants with financial need and support educational programs and resources for small minority-owned businesses in Palm Beach County through two nonprofit partners.

Divine Nine 5K Challenge and partners
The Divine Nine 5K Challenge is a separate competition for fraternities and sororities. The organization with the most registered members earns a trophy; fraternities and sororities receive unique promo codes that direct a portion of proceeds to college scholarships administered by the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Palm Beach County. This year includes a designated "Greek Row" area where organizations can reserve a tent.
The event lists partners and nonprofit collaborators, including the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and the Equity Entrepreneur Center, which focus on economic advancement and educational programs for minority-owned businesses.
