Course, rules and logistics
The course is an open route on a shared path and uses out-and-back loops that will be marked. Specific loop formats listed are: 5k as an out-and-back route, 10k as two 5k loops, 15k as three 5k loops, and the half marathon as three 4.36-mile loops. The event is a private reservation and is not endorsed or sponsored by the City of Irvine. Participants may not run with dogs; running or walking with a stroller is allowed. There is a 3:15 time limit for the half marathon; the organizer may allow an early start on request.
Park restrooms are about 200-300 meters (roughly a 5 minute walk) from the start/finish/check-in area. A separate restroom is about 0.62 miles (1 km) away at San Marco Park, with a path from the race route to that bathroom. Parking is free in the lot. Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12-24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
