About the race
Montebello Heritage 5K/10K is a part of the Montebello Heritage Festival in Montebello, California. The course runs along historic Whittier Boulevard, starting and finishing at Montebello City Park. The 5K is a single loop, while the 10K uses two loops on the same route, with newly paved streets contributing to a fast, USA Track & Field-certified course.
The event creates a festive atmosphere with a beer garden, DJ, tamale and coffee vendors, and a Kids 1K Run. All finishers receive a shirt and medal, with the first 700 registrants guaranteed on-race-day shirts and medals. The festival emphasizes health, culture, and community.
