Montrose 4th of July 5K & 10K : event overview

The Montrose Kiwanis Club and Montrose Lions Club sponsor the event. Funds from the races support community service projects and programs, including scholarships, student service clubs, library and fire company support, ambulance and food pantry assistance, upkeep of Montrose Memorial Park, grants to local schools and nonprofits, seasonal food and toy programs, and a community Halloween parade.
Course maps are available for both the 5K and the 10K. Awards are given by gender for top overall finishers, masters (40+), and multiple age groups, with specific age-group categories listed for younger and older runners.
Registration, amenities and logistics
Registration options list a base fee of $25 for each of the 5K and 10K run/walk entries. The page shows total prices including processing fees as $28.63 (early) and $33.80 (by June 14). Registrants receive a t-shirt if registered by June 14. Personalized bibs are available if registration is completed three weeks in advance.
