Event overview
The event takes place on May 10, 2026 at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, VA (2410 Caroline Street). Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids, and Back of the Pack Series and also toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are welcome.

Course and race services
The course follows a paved path alongside the Rappahannock River and includes a few small hills. The 5k is an out-and-back route; the 10k uses the 5k course twice. Restrooms and parking are available in the park.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. Live results are posted on Athlinks and a race-day QR code provides immediate access; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Water stations: five on the 10k (approx. miles 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 5.2) and two on the 5k (approx. miles 1 and 2.1); Gatorade is available at some stations. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age groups; top-three overall finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. The event benefits Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation, which raises awareness of CPR and the use of AEDs.
