Course and logistics
Hart Scout Reservation is described as a rustic Boy Scout camp along the Unami Creek. The course uses mostly double-track technical trails with some single-track sections. Runners can expect natural features such as tree roots, rocks, dirt, mud, and extensive shade. Loop distances are expected to be around 6.2 miles, subject to change if the sale of one of the camps affects the property. The course includes hills and elevation change.
There will be one aid station offering carbohydrates, fruit, water, Gatorade, and soda, and hot food will be available. Parking may be roughly a quarter mile from the start/finish area, with the option for runners and crew to bring cars closer to the loop start/finish for easier access. Volunteers are requested to help clear trails before the race. A relaxed treasure-hunt recovery event called “Musser Revenge” is scheduled for Sunday morning at Camp Hart.
